On August 7, 2025, members of the SeBaltEc project, Anatolii Orlov and Angela V. Piatova (National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”) and Ivan Maximov (Lund University) had an online meeting with researchers of Fraunhofer Institutes (Germany) about future cooperation and joint application for funding. The Fraunhofer institutes were represented by Manuel Thesen (FMD), Tugana Aslan (FMD), Nils F. Nissen (Fraunhofer IZM) and Marco Kircher (Fraunhofer IPMS). Discussions focused on “Green ICT @ FMD” (Forchungsfabrik Mikroelektronik Deutschland) activity in sustainability in microelectronics and the SeBaltEc expert network formation. Common interests were found in education in sustainability in microelectronics and in future projects to reduce environmental footprint in nano- and micro-electronic processing.
